How I Use The Charts Posted In My Room

Here are some useful charts I use on a regular basis to help build independence in my students as they read and write.I find that my quieter students are often more comfortable approaching the charts for clarification than asking an adult or peer. The students also enjoy reading the room and helping their friends by showing them where to find help rather than just telling them what they need. The pencil chart has the parts of speech mounted with magnets so that I can move the parts around when we create different types of sentences.
